CONTESTS
During the submission season, our dedicated jury team diligently reviews and selects outstanding projects across a diverse range of categories. All nominated projects are bestowed with official award laurels in high-quality digital format, along with promotional features on our official website and social media channels, reaching an audience of over 15,000 followers. Nominated projects will also have the opportunity to showcase their award nominations on IMDb, the renowned database for the film industry.
Winners in each main category receive all of the above, in addition to receiving highly sought-after screening slots at #SPFF24, allowing them to showcase their exceptional work to our esteemed audience. They are also granted automatic entry to the final stage of the festival competition, where they have the prospect of competing for a £500 cash prize film grant, which can be utilised towards the realisation of their next creative endeavour. RULES & TERMS
We welcome projects representing all themes and genres, liberating your artistic expression without any constraints on narrative content. If you are an impassioned filmmaker possessing bold, unique, and compelling stories, we cordially invite you to submit your work. However, we kindly request that all projects adhere to our full list of rules and terms specified below.
⍟ All short film submissions must be under 30 minutes in duration.
⍟ All short script submissions must be under 30 pages in length.
⍟ All script submissions must be written in English.
⍟ Foreign language films (non-English speaking) must have subtitles in English.
⍟ Submitted projects must have been produced after January 1st, 2021.
⍟ Entry fees are paid in full at the time of submission. Filmmakers can only pay/submit via FilmFreeway.
⍟ All submissions must be fully complete at the time of submission. Incomplete submissions will not be selected.
⍟ We require proof of student status for student submissions.
⍟ Monthly and Quarterly contest winners from each main award category (Best Short Film, Best International Short Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Student Film, Best Animated Film, Best Experimental Film, and Best Micro Film) are the only eligible categories for live screening at our annual event.
⍟ By submitting to us, you consent to the promotion of your film through our website and social media pages, including the use of posters, photographs, and trailers. The full-length version of your film will only be shown at the event if it is selected. Filmmakers selected for the event will be requested to provide an HD, MOV, or MP4 copy of the film.
⍟ The filmmaker must obtain all necessary releases for all content, including music and talent. Screen Power Film Festival is not liable for any copyright infringement or unauthorised usage.
⍟ We reserve the right to refuse entries to the competition at any time. Refunds may not be permitted.
